Brandy Melville ♥ Hawaii

Brandy Melville just opened up at Ala Moana!!!
My sister and I just happened to pass by the new store but it still wasn't officially open at 12 p.m.
Luckily, my sister picked up a few items for me and I got to visit the store in person later.

dream catcher and fringe tank
soft, perfect for layering over a white tank

Overall, I was quite impressed with the store that originated in Italy.
I have to warn you though, all tops are ONE SIZE FITS ALL.  (similar to Japan!)
Everything is very comfortable and casual but stylish at the same time.
There are $19 tees and $45 sweaters-- pretty reasonable considering the rising prices of clothing!

Meet the latest addition to my addiction...

I have been "fangirling" over Alexander Wang's beautiful handbag collection for a long time now... but finally, I have my own bag! Not only are Alexander Wang's handbags insanely popular, they are insanely expensive!  I mean, I cannot afford to spend that kind of money on a bag even if it is that gorgeous.

Low and behold, my new Brenda Mini Camera Bag was on sale!!!
I saw it yesterday sitting on the clearance table of the store by itself.  I almost bought it there on the spot but decided to avoid what I thought would be another impulse buy.  I thought long and hard, realizing that I would regret not getting it.  If I was destined to have this little guy, it would be there waiting for me.  I decided that I would call the store in the morning.  Thankfully, I had a saleswoman hold it for me and I was much surprised that everything was an additional 25% off!!!  Amazing...

Name: Brenda Mini Camera Bag
Designer: Alexander Wang
Color: Chartreuse

I originally wanted black, like everyone else.  Instead, I'm starting to love this new and unique color.
It's slightly green-looking, but I feel it's neutral enough to pair with a lot of items from my wardrobe.
I love the slightly beaten leather and shiny snake chains.  I can't wait to use it! ; )

Can I be a tourist?

'
Even though I live in Hawaii, I hardly ever go to the beach!  Such a sin...
At least I'm not damaging my skin all the time!
I actually prefer to be pale like those Asian stars.
Anyways, I decided that I will go soon... when my schedule is free.
So far, work has taken up much of my week.
I hope I can save enough money for one of my dream bags~

My favorites for the beach include...
  1. Juicy Couture Generation Y Sunnies tote ($35 from Neiman Marcus!)
  2. Neutrogena Fresh Cooling Sunblock SPF 45
  3. Ralph Lauren sunglasses ($30 from Nordstrom Rack)
  4. Victoria's Secret bikini top (last Summer, clearance bin, not sure which bottom I will pair it with)
  5. Sweet magazine (May 2011, haven't gone to the Japanese bookstore in a while)
P.S. Thanks for the comments blog readers!  I will check out your blogs! ; )

Jewelmint

I just started purchasing some pieces from jewelmint.com and I'm in LOVE!
I heard a lot about the Daphne pendant and I'm so glad I got it!  It sold out a couple of times already.
Check out www.jewelmint.com to learn more about the addictive shopping site and how it works.

This piece is so special and unique because of the wood detail.
I picked some other pieces as gifts! : )

Christmas in July!

My sister just came home from her study abroad in Paris~ Ooh la la!
I can't believe she bought me so many things!  She told me about her shopping trips and the crazy summer sales!

Vintage-y feel to these adorable seahorse earrings.

I have to go to Laduree and try one of their famous pastries!

Sunnies for the Summer

I absolutely love sunglasses!  I think I have around six sunglasses.  I have been looking for that perfect one... and I think I found it!

First off, I'd like to mention the classic Ray-Ban sunglasses that everyone loves.  I love the look, but they just don't fit me.  Somehow, it felt uncomfortable on my nose bridge and it wasn't flattering.

An alternative to the Ray-Ban classic wayfarers is the Marc by Marc Jacobs Colorblock Cat's Eye sunglasses.  I got mine from Nordstrom's at the Anniversary Sale price.
$79.90!  Can you believe it?!  Regular price is $120.00.  :O

I got mine in Tokyo Havana, shown above.
It also comes in black and havana.

Pros: light-weight, star detail, classy logo on the side, great quality
Cons: chunky case (Good thing I have a smaller M by MJ case from a while back!)

Food Princess- Cinnamon's

I'm not a breakfast type of girl because I usually feel sick if I eat too early.  I tend to eat a lot more during dinner.  (Terrible, I know!)
Yesterday was an exception, of course!  I had to try the guava chiffon pancake and eggs benedict at Cinnamon's!  I loved every bite.  My mom and I decided to share two dishes for more variety.
